The art for that needs to be revived: Dhokra Art

For handicraft artists, India is no less than Venice, and Dhokra Art is one oyster in a sea of arts with hundreds of pearls as its potential. Dhokra is a lost wax casting method that originated in West Bengal. The method involves creating intriguing structures out of non-ferrous metals such as wax or clay. The art form has come a long way in the last 2000 years, and the first known work of Dhokra Art, the dancing female, was discovered at Mohenjo-Daro.

The art form's name is derived from the names of the Dhokra Damar Tribes, whose people live in Jharkhand Because of their basic simplicity, strong forms, and integration of folk themes, Dhokra Art items have grabbed the overseas market by storm.

The art has influenced many great minds in a variety of ways, and it is used as decor in various aspects of homes and workplaces. Many people employed the decorative piece because of its adaptability and the texture and hue it retains, which brings them closer to the old era.

Apart from that, anyone who prefers a more minimalist design for their home could definitely consider Dhokra Art. People are eager to spend their wealth on it because it fits the theme and looks good in any setting.
