Dokra art is an essentially stunning metal figurine fashioned from bronze and copper-based alloys using a 'lost wax casting' known as 'cire perdue' in French. There are several processes involved in the making of Dokra art and hence, a single piece could take up to a month or two to be created. Tribal art is the visual arts and material culture of indigenous peoples. Also known as ethnographic art, or, controversially, primitive art, tribal arts have historically been collected by Western anthropologists, private collectors, and museums, particularly ethnographic and natural history museums.
